877. Description: Vintage Kuwaiti Bedouin Sheep Skin storage bag, acquired some 45 years ago in Kuwait City while on a business trip to assess environmental opportunities for the country. This piece was some 30 or so years old when I purchased it in the local Suk on a smoldering Sunday morning, next to a pile of trash with orphans picking through it for food. The rope that is attached to the skin is made of hand woven hemp fibers. It is in very good condition for its age and has seen a good bit of history.
Dimensions: 39" x 16" at the widest point.
