Well gang, I am stumped on a piece of beautiful pottery that I recently acquired. When I found this piece, I immediately loved it even though it was identified incorrectly. After a great deal of effort, no additional data could be found on the piece.
If anyone has any idea which culture this might be attributed to, please let me know. If you can come up with the correct answer along with any supporting documentation, I will give you a 10% discount on anything in the Gallery.
It was reportedly acquired by the Canadian collector in the 1970's from the American South West It is beautifully designed and has a wide black, white and red painted band to the exterior rim. The dimensions are: 4 1/4 x 10 in, and it is in almost mint condition for its reported age. It is currently identified as curiosity #6.
